I just came back from Hong Kong: I was invited there to partecipate to Red Bull Illume award cerimony, as my picture of Stefan Lantschner, riding Ponte Pietra full pipe in Verona, was chosen as one of the five finalist images of the Playground category. One other picture, with Simone Barraco tailwhip framed by scared pigeons, made it into the 250 pre-selection, but wasn’t chosen as a finalist image.
Red Bull Illume is the world’s premier action and adventure sports photography competition, and about 8.000 photographers entered the 2013 edition, submitting almost 30.000 pictures. So, even if I didn’t win, it is a great honor to get to the top selection and to see my pictures and biography pubished on Red Bull Illume photo book.
